Manmatha Leelai glimpse: Ashok Selvan is an unapologetic playboy in this fun-filled entertainer

Venkat Prabhu, whose Maanaadu released three months ago, had announced his next outing, Manmatha Leelai, recently. Ashok Selvan plays the lead in the fun-filled entertainer which has Samyukta Hegde, Riya Suman and Smruthi Venkat playing female leads in it.

T Muruganantham is producing the movie under Rockfort Entertainment which has Premgi Amaren, too, playing a crucial role, apart from composing music for it. Thamizh A Azhagan and Venkat Rajen are handling cinematography and editing respectively for the film which will be released in Telugu as well. Manivannan Balasubramaniam has written the movie's screenplay and dialogues along with Venkat Prabhu. 

The team had earlier announced that they will come up with a short video from the film today. Silambarasan, the hero of Venkat's Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV), unveiled the 40-second video which has been titled Manmatha Leelai glimpse. The actor released the video from his Twitter handle, wished success to the team and said that the film is going to be fun.

The glimpse has Ashok Selvan playing an unapologetic playboy, passionately kissing many girls one after the other. Tipped as a rom-com, the movie's shooting is said to be wrapped up in a short period of time.       

Many celebs from Kollywood started teasing Ashok Selvan on social media for playing a serial kisser in the film. Venkat Prabhu, too, took to Twitter to post, "Here is the chinna glimpse from #ManmadhaLeelai “vasanamada mukkiyam!! Padatha paarunda” moment (sic)."

Ashok was last seen in the recently released Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal. The first look poster of his Tamil-Telugu project Nitham Oru Vaanam (Aakasham in Telugu) was released recently by Dulquer Salmaan. He currently has Hostel in his kitty; the film's release is expected to happen later this year.
