Marco on OTT: Is Sony LIV streaming Unni Mukundan-starrer's extended version? Find out here

Marco, starring a macho Unni Mukundan, has landed on OTT,  a day earlier than announced. The Malayalam action thriller, directed by Haneef Adeni, is available for streaming on Sony Liv right now. During the film’s release in December 2024, there was a lot of chatter about the extended version of the movie and it was claimed that it would be made available for the OTT audience. Marco on Son Liv with extended version?

Unni Mukundan’s mass action thriller Marco started streaming on Sony Liv from February 13, 2025. The Malayalam film is also available on OTTplay Premium. But the runtime showing on the platform is around 2 hours and 21 minutes. While the original theatrical release had a runtime of 2 hours and 24 minutes. This means that the OTT version has been trimmed by a couple of minutes, instead of getting an extended runtime.

Reports about Marco’s extended runtime

Marco narrates a revenge action drama as the leading man powers through the scenes that are marked by gory violence. The Malayalam film was certified A by the Censor Board, which also sought certain cuts. Some scenes that featured Riyas Khan were also chopped out due to the violence, leading to speculations that these will find space on the OTT platform. Reports said that Unni Mukundan too had backed this. 

However, Marco on Sony Liv does not have the extended version. The Marco Hindi version is yet to land on digital space, and but that too is unlikely to have an extended version. But let’s wait for that.

Marco cast

Unni Mukundan stars in the lead role in Haneef Aden’s film. Jagadish, Siddique, Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Kabir Duhan Singh also play significant roles in the film along with Yukti Thareja, Ansol Paul, Rahul Dev, Sudev Nair, and Kalabhavan Shahjohn in this high-octane film.

The film was released in theatres on December 20, 2024, for Christmas and instantly became a talking point because of it relentless bloody violence.
