The bloody action sequences in Unni Mukundan-starrer Marco both stunned and impressed viewers across age groups and regions. With its relentless bloody violence, the A-rated film has notched up the tag of being the most violent film from Malayalam ever. Among the numerous violent scenes, the staircase fight sequence was much talked about online. Ahead of Marco’s OTT release on SonyLiv, Unni Mukundan has talked about the crucial staircase fight sequence that is sure to be the talk of the town after its digital premiere.
Marco is all set for its much-awaited OTT release on SonyLiv on February 14, 2025. The Haneef Adeni directorial saw Unni Mukundan in its most brutal avatar yet, unleashing his fierce power. While talking about the staircase fight sequence, Unni Mukundan said that it was “tough and a new experience” for him as well.
“When we saw a lot of movies, we also felt wanted to re-create such a sequence for Malayalam. And for that, I need to thank the fighters and action choreographer,” Unni Mukundan told SonyLiv.
The staircase fight sequence was among the most discussed scenes from the movie after Marco's theatrical release and Unni Mukundan is hoping that he will get the same feedback from the OTT viewers after the film lands on SonyLiv this V-Day.
“I really hope that people will get the same adrenaline rush that was felt in theatres when they stream the movie on SonyLiv on February 14,” Unni Mukundan remarked.

Marco hit theatres on December 20, 2024, as a Christmas release along with Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s ED Extra Decent and emerged to be the winner at the box office.
