If released on the said date, the film was supposed to be running in theatres alongside Vishu releases- Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham, Unni Mukundan’s Jai Ganesh, and Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham. The new release date has not been confirmed yet.
Theatrical release of Marivillin Gopurangal postponed
For unclear reasons, the movie's second postponement has been announced. Prior to that, it was scheduled to open on February 16 alongside Mammootty's Bramayugam and Biju Menon's Thundu. The release of several of the highly anticipated 2024 films this week is thought to be the cause of the most recent delay in the release. Indrajith Sukumaran, Vincy Sony Aloshious, Sarjano Khalid, and Shruti Ramachandran play pivotal roles in Marivillin Gopurangal. This film was directed by Arun Bose, who previously oversaw Tovino Thomas' Luca and Unni Mukundan's Mindiyum Paranjum. The screenplay for the movie was written by the director and Pramod Mohan.
The film examines the changing dynamics of modern relationships. Sarjano Khalid and Vincy Sony Aloshious play Rony and Meenakshi, who are in love and about to become parents, while Shinu and Sherin (Indrajith Sukumaran and Shruti Ramachandran, respectively) are married couples. Their lives take an unexpected turn, and they start to see marriage and love differently when the latter stays with Shinu and Sherin.
The director of Marivillin Gopurangal stated in an interview with OTTplay that the movie is best enjoyed with loved ones. Arun continued, saying that Indrajith Sukumaran, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano, and Vincy's performances are what make this movie the best. Among Marivillin Gopurangal's supporting cast members are Salim Kumar, Bindu Panicker, Sai Kumar, and Johny Antony.
