Filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran had announced earlier this year that his next movie will have Vishal playing the lead. The project which was billed as a pan Indian project was later titled Mark Antony. Tentatively titled Vishal 33 initially, SJ Suryah came on board for the film to essay the role of the antagonist while Ritu Varma is playing the female lead.

The movie was launched a few months ago with the presence of its lead actors and other crew members. The makers have now unveiled its first look poster featuring Vishal in a never-before-seen look. The actor is seen sporting a rugged appearance - ruffled hair, long beard with a vibhuti on forehead - attired in a silk kurta and a lungi make him almost unrecognizable.

His aggressive expression while pointing a gun towards someone coupled with several guns and bullets in the poster make it one of the most attractive first looks in Tamil in recent times. Mark Antony is the actor's first pan Indian movie.

GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the film which has cinematography by Abhinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. RK Vijai Murugan has helmed art direction for the project which has action scenes choreographed by Peter Hein, Kamal Kannan and Dhilip Subbarayan.

Dinesh Baba Baskar and Azar have jointly composed dance moves for Mark Antony. The makers are expected to announce the other cast members of the movie soon. S Vinod Kumar of Mini Studio, with whom Vishal teamed up for Enemy (streaming on SonyLIV) last year, is bankrolling the project.

The actor, who was last seen in Veeramae Vaagai Soodum (streaming on Zee5) earlier this year, has Laththi coming up next. Thupparivalan 2, which also marks his directorial debut, is another project he has in his kitty.
