Mark Antony: Vishal thanks the Prime Minister and the I&B Ministry for their swift action on his complaint

Vishal was in the news the other day when he complained about the corruption in the CBFC office in Mumbai. He was asked to pay a sum of 6.5 lakh for certifying the Hindi version of his latest movie Mark Antony which was released in Tamil and Telugu on September 15.

He posted a video explaining the hassles he faced and requested the Prime Minister and concerned officials to look into the matter as soon as possible. The I&B Ministry informed yesterday that an officer has been assigned to conduct an inquiry into the matter. The Producers Guild of India appreciated the Ministry's swift response.

Vishal thanked the Prime Minister and the I&B Ministry

The actor has now taken to his Twitter page to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for the timely action. He also thanked the Ministry "for taking immediate steps on this important matter".

He further added, "Thank you very much for the necessary action taken and definitely hoping for this to be an example for every government official who intends to or is part of corruption and to take the honest route to serve the nation and not the steps of corruption (sic)." An excited Vishal added that it brought a sense of satisfaction to a common man like him and others that justice would be served to corrupt victims.

Vishal's next is with Hari

The actor's next, an untitled project, has Hari at the helm. Billed as an action drama, it is tentatively titled Vishal 34. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead in the movie.

It is likely to be released in 2024. Vishal is likely to begin work on his directorial debut Thupparivalan 2 after wrapping up Vishal 34.
