Kiccha Sudeep fans have seen only 2-and-a-half minutes of what’s in store in his next, Mark, but even that limited glimpse has been enough for them to appreciate the quality of the visuals that Vijay Kartikeyaa has put together in his sophomore directorial, which was shot in only 4 months. The film is Sudeep’s second consecutive collaboration with Vijay and follows a similar template to their first, Max, although the team claims that it is a different character and timeline.

Yet again, Sudeep is playing a cop who is under suspension at the behest of a certain politician, but he has been called in for duty to investigate the disappearance of young children, many of who then turn up dead. Following the arrival of the trailer, Sudeep fans have been hailing Vijay’s work as “absolute madness” that’s given them goosebumps.

“Kiccha Sudeep rules the screen with his trademark style and swag. Expected an action-drama, but an investigative action thriller twist was totally unexpected and mind-blowing”, wrote a fan. “What a trailer! Kiccha Sudeep nails the vibe with his calm yet dangerous look. The colour tone, cuts, BGM everything screams style & substance. Mark Trailer has officially set the hype meter to MAX,” added another.

The actor’s powerful screen presence, the ensemble cast that’s been lined up, the racy editing, catchy dialogues and Ajaneesh’s background score were all elements that netizens showered praise on. So much so that many of them began declaring “December namde”, given that there are other star-led films like Darshan’s The Devil and Shivarajkumar-Upendra’s 45 in the mix.

Mark stars Sudeep in the lead, along with the likes of Guru Somasundaram, Vikranth, Shine Tom Chacko, Naveen Chandra, Vinay Gowda, Yogi Babu, Deepshikha, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Ashwin Hassan, among others.
