Massive update: Adipurush trailer gets a release date, Prabhas fans can watch it on big screen

The film industry is abuzz with excitement as the trailer of Adipurush , the upcoming epic drama, is set to launch on May 9. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the film stars Telugu superstar Prabhas in the lead role of Lord Rama, with Kriti Sanon portraying the role of Sita. Saif Ali Khan will be seen as the 10-headed demon king Ravana. 

Fans across the country are eagerly waiting for the launch, which will take place in different cities, including Mumbai and Hyderabad. The main event will take place in Mumbai, where the trailer will be unveiled in 3D format. And fans in Hyderabad can also watch the trailer on the big screen.

The big-screen adapation of Indian epic Ramayana is written and directed by Om Raut. Adipurush was supposed to arrive in cinemas in January this year, coinciding with the celebration of Sankranti. Last year, the teaser was unveiled in a grand event in Uttar Pradesh in the presence of all the lead cast. 

The audience was caught off guard by the unexpected nature of Om Raut's Adipurush, as the teaser revealed that it was a live-animation movie, rather than the live-action movie that fans were anticipating. To make matters worse, the half-baked special effects only added to fans' disappointment. The negative response quickly snowballed into a massive PR crisis that left the filmmakers scrambling to contain the damage.

The teaser evoked very strong reactions from all quarters forcing the filmmakers to postpone the release and improve the quality of the output. 

The trailer launch holds a massive responsibility to redeem the filmmakers from the public crisis and re-establish the public's opinion about the film. The success of the trailer is a crucial litmus test for the film's fate at the box office. 

Adipurush is expected to arrive in cinemas on June 16.
