Matti Katha will be loved even more on OTT says, producer Appi Reddy

With each passing day, the amount of films being made on Telangana backdrop is only improving. So many films with the rural backdrop of Telangana and its emotions have been appreciated by one and all. 

Matti Katha also falls in the same category and deals with the land encroachment issue in a small village in Telangana and has Ajay Ved, Akshay Sai, Raju Aluri, and Bathula Teja in lead roles.

The village drama was released on September 22, 2023, and received decent reviews. But as the film did not have popular faces, it did not do well at the box office and we were out of the theatres in no time. We at OTTplay have already reported that the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Aha for a fancy price and the film will stream from October 13, 2023, onwards.

Ahead of the film's digital release, producer Appi Reddy says that he will continue to make films with rooted emotions. Adding further, he says that the audience will love his film more once it lands on OTT. Appi Reddy's yet another production, Mr Pregnant is also now streaming on Aha.

Matti Katha is a poignant rustic tale mostly starring newcomers and is also written and directed by debutant Pavan Kadiyala. The film won over 9 awards at recognized international and national film festivals. 

Balveer Singh, Akshay, Raju Aluri, Bathurst Tena, Ruchitha, Seetha Mahalaxmi Mallesham, Nanda Gopal are also part of the cast. Sainath cranked the camera for the film which was edited by Uday Khumbam and Ram Krishna.
