Meet the 'young' Bobby Deol: British child actor Leon Ung takes on a key role in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal

Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is finally going to open in theatres on December 1 after months of anticipation and buzz. Furthermore, the film's adversary, Bobby Deol, has captivated viewers as much as Ranbir did.

While the music and trailer for Animal have given fans a taste of Ranbir's character, they have only seen small glimpses of Bobby, whom the makers have left them wanting more of. Moreover, they have been tight-lipped about his character's backstory, but fans were already giddy from the few glimpses of the actor in the trailer.

And now, some further character-related information has made its way online. The film will delve deeper into the childhoods of both Bobby and Ranbir's characters, as seen in the trailer, with British actor Leon Ung playing a younger Bobby.

British actor Leon Ung excites fans as young Bobby in Animal

The child actor posted it on his own social media accounts. He shared a photo of himself with Vanga and others from the Animal set and commented that he was thrilled to announce that he had the opportunity to work on this incredible film, portraying the character of young Bobby Deol in Animal.

The 13-year-old Leon Ung is also a gymnast, stunt performer, model, and actor. Cast as Nas in the Academy Award-winning short film The Long Goodbye, he became famous for his performance.

Since the child actor's father was a refugee from Cambodia who spent days in a camp, the actor is well-known for being outspoken and sympathetic towards refugees.

Leon Ung's promise of a surprise in Animal

Leon had earlier shared a photo posing with Bobby and assured viewers to await his surprise in the film.

Animal also features Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, in addition to Ranbir and Bobby. From what we can tell from the teaser, the film will focus on a father and son's toxic relationship as they face off against a terrifying antagonist.
