The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Mehfil, have unveiled its first poster today (July 30). It provides a glimpse of the renowned personalities, Mullassery Rajagopal and his wife, both on-screen and in real life.

Mehfil, which is being produced by Dr Manoj Govindan under the auspices of Wide Screen Media Productions, has been directed by Jayaraj, who also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogue. The movie is said to be based on the life of Mullassery Rajagopal of Kozhikode and a Mehfil night which took place in his lifetime. This well-known figure also served as the inspiration for Mohanlal's character in the movie Devasuram and Ravanaprabhu, directed by Ranjith. The film is anticipated to be released soon. Asha Sarath and Mukesh play the main roles in Mehfil. Along with vocalists Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Krishnachandran, and Akhila Anand, the major cast also features Unni Mukundan, Manoj K Jayan, Kailash, Renji Panicker, Siddharth Menon, Vaishnavi, Sabitha Jayaraj, Aswath Lal, Manoj Govindan, Ajeesh, and Shibu Nair. Eight of the movie's songs were written by Deepankuran and Kaithapram. Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Aravind Venugopal, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, and Mustafa Manthottam all sing the songs. The recently released song "Nondavarke Novariyu" from this film received positive reviews from audiences.
