Jibu Jacob, who last directed Ellam Sheriyakum (streaming on Zee5), has been busy with Suresh Gopi-starrer Mei Hoom Moosa for a while. Billed as a thorough entertainer with ample commercial elements, the film's release was announced as September 30 earlier.

The makers have now unveiled the project's first look; Suresh sports a handlebar moustache in it and is seen playing his age while Hareesh Kanaran, Saiju Kurup, Srinda and Poonam Bajwa are also spotted in the poster. The movie marks Jibu's fifth directorial project after Vellimoonga, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Adhyarathri and Ellam Sheriyakum.

Dr Roy CJ and Thomas Thiruvalla have produced Mei Hoom Moosa under Confident Group and Thomas Thiruvalla Films respectively. The movie went on floors in March and a few crucial portions were shot in Punjab and Delhi. Suresh plays an ex-army man in the film and will be seen sporting dual appearances in it.

Rubesh Rain had penned the screenplay for the movie which will be distributed by Central Pictures in Kerala. Sreenath Sivasankaran has composed music while Sajith Shivaganga has helmed art direction. Suresh plays the titular role in the movie which is his 253rd project as an actor.

Vishnu Narayanan and Sooraj ES have cranked the camera and handled editing respectively for Mei Hoom Moosa which was wrapped recently. Fans of Suresh Gopi, who are excited about the success of his latest outing, Joshiy's Paappan, have pinned high hopes on the Jibu Jacob directorial and hope that the film would repeat the box office performance of the former.

The superstar has half-a-dozen projects in his kitty, including the most-awaited Ottakkomban which is based on a real-life character. A sequel to his 1995 release Highway and long-pending Tamil film Thamezharasan are a few of his forthcoming movies.
