Memory is an upcoming Mexican-American drama movie that tells a story about Sylvia, a social worker, who leads a simple and structured life. This is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.

Memory's Oscar run

The movie has been recently obtained by Ketchup Entertainment for North American distribution. It is also reported that it received a special run at the Oscars in December. Memory made its grand debut at the Venice Film Festival this year, where Peter Sarsgaard was honoured with the Volpi Cup by the jury.

According to Variety, CEO of Ketchup Entertainment, Gareth West stated, “Memory delivers a poignant journey into the depths of human emotion anchored by fantastic performances. We are delighted to collaborate with such passionate filmmakers on bringing this movie to audiences in the US.”

Peter's other nomonations

However, apart from the Oscars, Sarsgaard's name will also be submitted at the Golden Globes and SAG Awards for his supporting role. Jessica will also compete for the lead actress categories.

Directed by Michel Franco, Memory made its grand premiere at Venice on September 28 and now is all set to make a theatrical release in December, worldwide.
