A week before its theatrical debut, the trailer for the upcoming Malayalam movie Mirage has finally been released by its makers. It portrays Aparna Balamurali as a young woman in trouble and Asif Ali as an online investigative journalist.
The character played by Aparna Balamurali emphasises in the one minute and 38 second video how uninformed she is of her lover Kiran's activities. She is upset over being questioned by the police and says she doesn't know why Kiran would lie to her. An online reporter, Ashwin Kumar, played by Asif Ali, is introduced shortly after this. He seems to be looking into this matter while also assisting her in discovering the truth. Additionally, they are constantly looking through a locker that has some important documents or objects.
She is warned by a police officer that assisting cops is her best chance of staying alive, suggesting that she is the target of a bigger criminal organisation. Since the film's director Jeethu Joseph has a reputation for creating gripping thrillers, there are high hopes for this movie.
