Young Telugu star Teja Sajja’s latest film Mirai is just a day away from making its grand OTT release on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. The Telugu fantasy action-adventure film would be available to stream in multiple languages, including Tamil and Kannada, on the two platforms.
Mirai OTT release date
The 2025 Telugu film Mirai, Superyodha, which released in theatres on September 12, will make its much-awaited OTT debut on October 10. JioHotstar has secured the streaming rights of the Teja Sajja film and will release the film on Friday. Non-Telugu speakers will have the option to watch Mirai in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. But currently, there is no word about the OTT partner for the Hindi-dubbed version of Mirai.
The film, penned and helmed by Karthik Gattamneni, had a good theatrical run, making Rs 141 crore in net worldwide collections, as per the industry tracker Sacnilk.
What is the story of Mirai?
The film has a connection to the Great Emperor Ashoka, who protects nine grandhas after the Kalinga war. Cut to the 2000s, the sinister Black Sword is after the powerful scriptures, securing eight grandhas. As the Black Sword relentlessly pursues the ninth, his path crosses with that of Vedha, who also has a long-lost connection to the grandhas. The film, which blends fantasy with action and adventure, seeks to provide answers as to what is Vedha’s connection to the powerful grandha, and how he stops the Black Sword from capturing the ninth scripture.
Who are the actors in Mirai?
Teja Sajja stars in the lead role of Vedha in Mirai. The 2025 film marks the young star’s return to the big screen after Hanu-Man, another superhero hit film which released in 2024.
Manchu Manoj appears as the antagonist Black Sword, a performance worth watching out, as per critics. Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran and Ritika Nayak also appear in other key roles. Malayalam actor Jayaram, recently seen in the Kannada film Kantara Chapter 1, is also part of the Telugu film.
