Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty actress Anushka Shetty, Prabhas bond over food with a recipe challenge

Miss Shetty Mrs Polishetty team has opted for a muted promotional strategy ahead of the film’s release this Thursday. Naveen Polishetty has toured across several districts in Telugu states to spread the word about the film, appearing in television shows, giving a few promotional interviews as well. However, the word is out that film hasn’t made enough noise among movie-goers.

Despite being marketed as Anushka Shetty’s comeback film, it was rather disappointing to see the actress distancing herself from promotions, except for selective interviews. The film is written and directed by P Mahesh Babu and is produced by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty revolves around the relationship between a chef and a standup comedian.

To provide a final boost to the promotional campaign before the release, the makers of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty have come up with a recipe challenge, where celebs and audiences share the recipes of their favourite dishes. Anushka, playing a chef in the film, kickstarted the campaign by sharing the recipes of two items - Mangalore Chicken Curry and Neer Dosa (a Mangalorean speciality).

She nominated Prabhas to do the same in a social media post, adding, “I would love to initiate the challenge with none other than #Prabhas, who as we all know, loves food and loves to feed others. Tagging him to share his favorite recipe with us and continue the challenge.” On a playful note, Prabhas replied, “I’ve known Sweety for decades but I never knew her favorite recipe… Finally, now I do!”

Well known as a foodie, Prabhas shared the recipe of Royyala Pulav in his Instagram profile and challenged Ram Charan to post the recipe of his favourite dish. Naveen Polishetty and Anushka will be coming together for a ‘Space’ conversation hosted by Mirchi Hemanth and share their experiences about the film and interact with fans.
