Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty Twitter review: Naveen Polishetty, Anushka Shetty have a winner, viewers say

Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, a relationship comedy revolving around a chef and a struggling standup comedian, has hit screens today. Ra Ra Krishnayya fame P Mahesh Babu has written and directed the film starring Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty in the lead. The dramedy, marking Anushka’s return to cinema after a brief sabbatical, is bankrolled by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations.

While not many were impressed with the promotional strategy adopted by the makers leading up to its release, it looks like the film is doing the talking now. As per early premieres in the US and shows in India, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty has garnered good responses. It’s quite evident that the film is an out and out Naveen Polishetty show and he’s ably complemented by Anushka Shetty.

The role is reportedly tailormade for Naveen Polishetty, with his energetic screen presence, comic timing. Viewers are happy how the director took up a bold subject and treated it like an entertainer. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty promises a good dose of comedy with enough emotional depth. It is an ideal watch for families, a much needed breath of fresh air in Telugu cinema, another viewer said.

Audiences are equally delighted that Anushka is back with a bang and shared many images of their favourite star on Twitter. If the first hour promises laughs aplenty, the second hour takes a dramatic turn. The visuals, performances of supporting actors like Jayasudha, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam have received praise though not many are impressed by the music.

Nirav Shah cranked the camera for the same while Radhan composed the songs. Gopi Sundar worked on the background score. Veteran technician Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor and Rajeevan Nambiar is the art director. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the entertainer. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty is Naveen Polishetty’s third film as a lead after Jathi Ratnalu, Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya.
