With the filming of the eighth part of Mission Impossible going at a steady pace, keeping in mind all the safety protocols for COVID-19, the movie’s beloved character Ethan Hunt aka Tom Cruise showed his tenacity of performing deadly stunts in the air.
Pictures of him dangling on the wing of an airplane for one of the movie scenes went viral on social media. We already know that the Hollywood superstar is known to have performed many of the stunts on his own. The recent one shows his utmost dedication level that he puts into a scene. According to a Fox News report, he climbed out of the cockpit of a 1941 Boeng biplane at 2,000 feet and sat on the wing for the scene. He cranked his stunts up a notch when he dangled upside down from the wing. This led to the entire plane flipping upside down. From the pictures, it can be noticed that he was sitting upright on it. Keeping in mind the safety protocol, he was attached to the plane with a harness to keep him from falling over.
The actor also underwent extensive flying lessons prior to filming for the eighth instalment of the Mission Impossible franchise. After wrapping up the seventh part he immediately went on to commence filming for the eighth one. Both the movies are expected to come out in 2022 and 2023 respectively. On account of the COVID-19 pandemic, its release dates had to be pushed further.
One of his popular stunts include climbing on the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world. You can catch this scene in the fourth movie of the Mission Impossible franchise, Ghost Protocol.
