Mission: Impossible 7 and Top Gun: Maverick are two of the most-awaited Hollywood movies since their announcements. Paramount Studios have announced that both the release dates of both the sequels starring Tom Cruise were pushed back due to rising numbers of delta variants of coronavirus. The news came as a disappointment to the fans, who have been looking forward to catching Cruise back in action.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mission: Impossible 7 will release on September 30, 2022, instead of May 27, 2022, and Top Gun: Maverick will debut on May 2, 2022, instead of November 19, 2021.
Fans did not hide their disappointment as many took to social media to share their thoughts on the delay. Twitter especially saw a large number of its users talk about the delay of the movies.
Some fans also made sure that everyone knew that they were just as much annoyed about the delay as sad. They used various means to express this feeling of being annoyed. Some even used photos from the movie to hilarious effects.
Some users even found the funny side of all this and used Cruise’s teary “No” GIF from Mission: Impossible 3 to great use.
