Mission Raniganj box office prediction: A dismal start to Akshay Kumar's film

Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, the biopic of Jaswant Singh Gill, will be released on October 6. Following the success of Rustom, Akshay Kumar and director Tinu Suresh Desai reunited for this film. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay.

Since Khiladi Kumar's movies haven't been performing well at the box office for a while, more people are interested in seeing how this one performs at the ticket window. However, it appears that the movie won't have a strong opening weekend based on the buzz, which is incredibly low.

According to reports, Mission Raniganj's booking report is dismal, and the movie is on track to have Akshay Kumar's lowest opening weekend ever in India. Now it all depends on word of mouth which will decide if the film will have a better run at the box office. The actor's lowest opening film till now is Selfiee, which opened with 2.55 crores on its first day. If we go by the advance booking of the film, it seems that this record will be broken as the figures do not look good.

The rescue effort that Jaswant Singh Gill, played by Akshay Kumar, led to the successful recovery of survivors from a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989, is highlighted in the trailer for the film. The rescue thriller is based on a true incident. In addition to Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Rajesh Sharma, Pavan Malhotra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ravi Kishan, and Kumud Mishra will appear in the suspenseful drama. The film is the next thriller directed by Tinu Suresh Desai following Rustom, which also starred Khiladi Kumar. The movie is produced by Pooja Entertainment and is scheduled to debut on October 6.
