Mission Tashaffi: Praveen Sattaru’s spy thriller for ZEE5 goes on floors

Praveen Sattaru, who began his career with a series of light-hearted outings and dramas like LBW, Routine Love Story and Chandamama Kathalu, has redefined himself well over the years across other genres. PSV Garudavega, The Ghost proved he was adept with action and spy thrillers too. He’s having a crack at the genre again for his OTT show for ZEE5 titled Mission Tashaffi.

Mission Tashaffi is a spy thriller that was announced a year ago by ZEE5 among its lineup of Telugu shows. The shoot of the project finally commenced today. ZEE5 confirming the same wrote, “Shoot begins!!! We are getting ready with the first-ever spy thriller series in Telugu OTT, by the amazing director @PraveenSattaru. Packed with high-octane action performances, filmed in exotic locations by renowned action choreographers, this one will be a spy spectacle!”

The show will be directed by Praveen Sattaru and revolves around an intelligence agent, who’s on a mission to catch hold of a terrorist. Set in India and Afghanistan, the series will showcase if the agent succeeds in finding bombs planted in India. ZEE5 has allocated a huge budget for the project produced by Pranathi Reddy under Film Republic. Mission Tashaffi stars Simran Choudhary, Srikanth Iyengar, Anish Kuruvilla, Chatrapathi Sekhar,  Bhushan Kalyan in key roles.

Naresh Ramadurai cranks the camera for the show while Sahi Suresh is the art director and Dharmendra Kakarala is the editor respectively Meanwhile, the director is simultaneously wrapping up all the formalities associated with his theatrical release Gandeevadhari Arjuna, an action thriller starring Varun Tej, Sakshi Vaidya slated to hit screens worldwide on August 25.

Before Mission Tashaffi, Praveen Sattaru had forayed into the web space with aha’s corporate drama titled 11 hours, headlined by Tamannaah. He’s certainly one of the most promising filmmakers in Telugu cinema among the current crop and one can be assured that viewers will have something nail-biting in store with his ZEE5 show and Gandeevadhari Arjuna as well.
