Mithun Chakraborty gets hospitalized in Kolkata after complaining of chest pain

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was reportedly hospitalised in Kolkata after he complained of chest pain. As per the latest reports, he is currently undergoing treatment. There has been no other update from the hospital or doctors about his health.

As per a source-based report in India Today, it has been said that Mithun Chakraborty was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after he complained of chest pain this (Saturday) morning. The said report added that he is currently undergoing treatment.

Mithun Chakraborty conferred Padma Bhushan just days ago

Only a few days ago (January 2024), the actor and politician was conferred the prestigious Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his outstanding contribution to the world of cinema. After receiving the well-deserving award, the three-time National Film Award winner had expressed his heartfelt gratitude in a video.

In the video, while thanking everyone, Mithun Chakraborty said that he was proud and happy to have received this award. He added that he has never asked anything for himself from anyone and that he was experiencing the feeling of receiving something without asking a "great and different feeling altogether".

Mithun Chakraborty’s actor son, Namashi Chakraborty, has taken to social media to share a video in which the former expressed his immense happiness after having received the prestigious Padma Bhushan. The veteran actor had said (in Hindi) that he felt immense happiness and pleasure after having gotten the award.

He added that the feeling was just like he had achieved everything in the world and something that he could not describe in words. He had added that, after having struggled with difficulties so much that he had gotten the award, the feeling was totally different.
