Patriot: Here's when, where Mammootty will resume shooting for Mahesh Narayanan-Mohanlal movie

Fans of the actors and movie buffs alike are excited about any news about Mohanlal and Mammootty's next film, reportedly titled Patriot, which is being directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The director of the film has recently provided additional details about the movie's shooting in a media interview. 

Patriot Kerala schedule update

Speaking to a media outlet, Mahesh disclosed that the ninth schedule of the production is currently in progress and that an action scene starring Mohanlal will shortly be filmed in Edappal, which is located in the Malappuram district of Kerala. According to sources, this schedule would last for four days. Additionally, it has been rumoured that Mammootty will be included in the Kochi schedule starting next month. Further details, including a release update, are expected in the coming days. 

Mohanlal reveals upcoming film's title 'Patriot'

Mohanlal has disclosed the title of this eagerly awaited movie as "Patriot" in an interview with a Sri Lankan media source. Malayalam film fans went into a frenzy when it was announced that Mohanlal and Mammootty would be returning on screen for a film after more than ten years. The Big Ms have worked together on more than 50 films.

Mahesh had already disclosed that Mohanlal would play a significant part in the movie. The editor-turned-director talked about how he enlisted the superstars of Mollywood and other prominent ones such as Fahad Faasil and Kunchacko Boban, for the movie in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The eagerly awaited movie also stars Nayanthara, Darshana Rajendran, Revathy, and Rajiv Menon in addition to these big names.

The eagerly awaited movie began production in Sri Lanka in the middle of November 2024. Mohanlal recently rejoined the schedule for the film's shoot in Sri Lanka. He was also welcomed to the country's parliament. In a media interview, the actor described the nation as a "shooting friendly location with spectacular settings." According to reports, Kunchacko Boban is also on the current schedule of shooting in Sri Lanka.
