Mohandas is one of the much-awaited films from Vishnu Vishal. The movie, which is billed as a thriller since its announcement, has been in the making for a while. The makers unveiled its teaser a few months ago, which offered a sneak peek into the film's plot and a few characters.
On Vishnu's birthday today, they have come up with a new promo video, titled 'Mohandas Glimpse'. The one-and-a-half minute video, though reveals nothing new in terms of the project's story, has more slick shots which highlight Vishnu's characterization. The actor plays a psychopath in the film for the first time in his career.
Mohandas, which has been directed by Murali Karthick, comes with the tag "may be a true story". Aishwarya Rajesh, Indrajith, Karunakaran and Shariq Hassan among others play crucial characters in the project which has music composed by Ghibran. Vignesh Rajagopalan and San Lokesh have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film.
Vishnu himself has bankrolled the movie along with Shubhra and Aryan Ramesh for which Aravind Murali has penned dialogues along with director Murali. Arunshankar Durai has been at the helm of art direction while Anbarivu, the leading stunt choreographer duo, has been monitoring action sequences for Mohandas.
An announcement on the movie's release date is yet to be made. However, it is expected that the film will hit the screens later this year. Vishnu's last outing was FIR (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which was released earlier this year. The action thriller was also produced under his banner VV Studioz.
The actor currently has sports drama Gatta Kusthi in his kitty. The bilingual movie will be released under the title Matti Kusthi in Telugu.
