Mohanlal and Vysakh to team up soon; Turbo director drops major update

Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar is busy in his acting career with some promising projects in his kitty. As per the recent updates, the veteran actor is now all set to reunite with the Pulimurugan director Vysakh, for an upcoming action thriller. The popular director, who bounced back after a low phase with the success of the recently released Mammootty starrer Turbo, confirmed the reports in a recent interview with a leading Malayalam online media.

Mohanlal and Vysakh to reunite for an action thriller

In his recent interview, Vysakh confirmed that he is indeed teaming up with Mohanlal for a new project, very soon. According to the celebrated filmmaker, the superstar has already greenlit the subject, and the script is locked. If things go as planned, the untitled project will have its official launch very soon. Interestingly, Vysakh also revealed that they were originally supposed to work on this project, after the massive success of Pulimurugan. However, the film was delayed due to multiple reasons, and the duo reunited for Monster, instead.

Vysakh, who extensively spoke about his association with Mohanlal, added that the upcoming project will compensate for the massive failure of their previous outing, Monster. For the uninitiated, the 2022-released crime thriller film which featured the superstar in the role of Lucky Singh aka Shivdev Subrahmaniam IPS, earned negative reviews from both the audiences and critics. The movie was also widely criticised for its problematic portrayal of homosexual relationships.

Mohanlal’s exciting line-up

The crowdpuller of Malayalam cinema has a massive line-up of upcoming projects in the pipeline. Mohanlal is now busy with the filming of his two ambitious projects – Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan and Tharun Moorthy’s L360. The Lucifer sequel marks the superstar’s third collaboration with actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran. L360, on the other hand, is touted to be a family entertainer. Later, the veteran actor will reunite with Joshiy for the upcoming action thriller Rambaan and with Sathyan Anthikad for an untitled family entertainer.
