Mohanlal-Anoop Menon movie on hold, actor says 'waiting for correct producer'

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who is busy with Tharun Moorthy-directed L366, has a bunch of other projects lined up. One of them is a film directed by actor Anoop Menon. However, there were no official updates on the movie recently. Now, Anoop Menon has addressed the project delay, stating that the movie is on hold and that they are waiting for the correct producer.

What happened to Mohanlal-Anoop Menon film

During the promotions for his upcoming movie Ee Thani Niram, actor Anoop Menon was quizzed about his film with Mohanlal that the superstar himself had announced. But Anoop Menon clarified that the film is currently on hold.

"I can only speak about the movie when there is a correct production. The earlier production did not work out. There is a technical glitch. It is mostly due to me being adamant. But I think it is for the good of the movie. Lalettan also says the same. Let the correct producer come. Only if such a producer comes, will that movie happen,” the actor explained

“It will take time. There is no need to hurry. The film will happen only in a space where the whole production is happy. It could happen this year or next year,” he added, while stating that Mohanlal is also busy with several of his movies. Earlier, Anoop Menon had said that his Mohanlal movie would need to have a schedule in Kolkata as well. Mohanlal and Anoop Menon have also acted in several films together, including Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol.

What is the update on Mohanlal-Krishand movie

Another upcoming movie of Mohanlal is with noted director Krishand. The director, who is awaiting the release of Masthishka Maranam, also opened up about this much-awaited collaboration. He said that discussions are on and they have reached an interesting screenplay.

On the other hand, Mohanlal is currently shooting for an ad for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, directed by noted filmmaker Priyadarshan. He has also announced L367 with Meppadiyan director Vishnu Mohan.
