Mohanlal, Mammootty and Prithviraj to join forces for Vysakh film? Here’s the latest buzz

After Mahesh Narayanan pulled off a casting coup with Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara in a Malayalam film, it looks like we will be seeing another film featuring two Big Ms from Mollywood. Vysakh, who directed the hit film Pulimurugan, is reported to be helming this project which will have Prithviraj Sukumaran too. Read on to know more about this buzz that has got us all excited.

Mohanlal, Mammootty and Prithviraj in Vysakh film

Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Prithviraj sharing screen space in a project, helmed by Vysakh, which is definitely a film that we would like to watch. The rumored project will be produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Mammootty Kampany. If these rumors turn out to be true, this will mark the first collaboration between the big production houses.

Rumors have been doing the rounds that Mohanlal and Mammootty will be part of two projects in 2025. Antony Perumbavoor sparked a frenzy when he shared pictures of the Malayalam stars with the caption ‘Mammootty Kampany - Aashirvad Cinemas’.

Mahesh Narayanan confirmed last year that Mohanlal will be seen in a full-fledged role in his upcoming project with Mammootty, which has been tentatively titled MMMN. And now speculations are rife that the second project could be the Vysakh film.

Vysakh’s films with the stars

Notably, Vysakh has worked with all three stars. He made his debut with Pokkiri Raja in 2010, which starred both Mammootty and Prithviraj. His 2015 directorial Pulimurugan, starring Mohanlal, was a runaway hit. He again teamed up with Mammootty for Madhura Raja, a spin-off of the 2010 film. But if all three stars join hands for the Vysakh film, it would be special on multiple counts.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s film with Mahesh Narayanan has gone on floors with Nayanthara joining the cast being the latest update. On the other hand, Prithviraj and Mohanlal are gearing up for the release of their much-anticipated L2 Empuraan, which is slated to release in theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025.
