Mohanlal on Bro Daddy: It was great to see Prithviraj in action as director again

Superstar Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran have joined their hands for Bro Daddy, after the hit political action thriller Lucifer. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Bro Daddy has been one of the most anticipated movies of recent times in Malayalam.

The movie, which is touted to be a whole pack entertainer, has just dropped its trailer, announcing its release date. Speaking about the movie, Mohanlal said in a statement that he was happy to see Prthiviraj in action as the director and actor as well. He also expressed his extreme gratitude about being able to take their actor-director relationship forward with another project. “I hope everyone will enjoy the film and it receives much love and appreciation,” he said assuring that the movie will be a full-on entertainment package, which is sure to thrill the families.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj explained a bit about the movie, and revealed it would explore the gap between two generations with a ‘fun and happy script’. Prithviraj also plays the role of Mohanlal’s son in the movie. He also expressed his happiness in getting to direct his favourite actor once again after Lucifer. “This has been an incredibly exciting project where I got to work with Mohanlal for the second time both as an actor and director,” he said in his statement. He is also excited to see how the audiences are going to receive their latest venture.

The movie also has stars like Kalyani Priyadarshan, Meena, Lalu Alex, Kaniha, Jagadush, Soubin Shahir, Mallika Sukumaran and Unni Mukundan, among others. The trailer that dropped a few hours ago is being welcomed well and the movie is expected to win the viewers’ hearts as well.

Bro Daddy will be released exclusively on Disney+Hotstar on January 26, 2022.
