Actors putting their bodies through the wringer for their art is just one of the many ways they can feel a kinship to the character they are to portray. Sikandar Kher too has followed suit, undergoing a prominent physical transformation to better ‘get under the skin of’ his character in the upcoming Hollywood film Monkey Man. The film marks his Hollywood debut.
Kher spoke of the amount of work he put into the role, which required him to have a girthy build. The star had put on almost 12 kgs for the same, saying that although it was hard work he wanted to ‘give it his all’.

Regarding his Hollywood feature film debut, Kher called Monkey Man one of the biggest opportunities he has had in his career. He also referred to the film as a way for him to reach a newer brand of audience as an actor.
The upcoming film is an action thriller, and also stars Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley and Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles. The film is also Patel’s directorial debut, who has written the film along with Paul Angunawela and John Collee.
Among Kher’s other upcoming project is Sooryavanshi, led by Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
