Malayalam film, Moonwalk, is all set to make its digital debut soon. The dance movie will be streaming on JioHotstar from next week.

The film received compliments for its distinctive approach to the story when it debuted in theatres on May 30. Moonwalk will be accessible on JioHotstar starting at 12 am on July 8, it has officially been verified. Padakkalam, starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mohanlal's blockbuster film Thudarum just started streaming on the same platform. Despite not drawing many people to theatres, Moonwalk is anticipated to receive the recognition it deserves after its OTT release.
The film is based on actual events and revolves on a group of young people who are inspired by Michael Jackson and strives to learn his break dancing technique. The trailer makes it clear that these guys overcome all barriers to learn this dance method while going to school or doing odd jobs. They are also seen working really hard to master the dance steps so they can participate in a competition. It also implies that the story is set in a 1980s little town in Kerala.
The film was released in theatres by renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery and marks A K Vinod's directorial debut. Through a group of young people, Moonwalk brings a new spirit to the film industry, Lijo had said in a promotional video. The majority of Moonwalk's main actors are newcomers. The primary cast of Moonwalk includes Shersha Sherief, Anunath, Rishi Kainikkara, Siddharth B, Manoj Moses, Sujith Prabhakar, Nainita Maria, Sreekanth Murali, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Arjun Manilal.
The screenplay was co-written by A K Vinod, Mathew Varghis, and Sunil Gopalakrishnan. Moonwalk has been funded by Listin Stephen and Jasni Ahamad under the Magic Frames' banner.
