Mammootty - Chatha Pacha
After ending 2025 with the hit Kalamkavam, Megastar Mammootty begins 2026 with a star cameo in Chatha Pacha, which brings in a host of young actors and some raw WWe-inpsired wrestling from Kochi. Mammootty is rumoured to feature in the role of a coach. Roshan Mathew and Arjun Ashokan lead this new-age action entertainer, along with Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath. Adhvaith Nayar marks his directorial debut with the film, which has also roped in Bollywood musician trio of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy - another first.
Mohanlal - Khalifa
Superstar Mohanlal will delight fans with two star cameos in 2026. The first is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa, which has the actor-filmmaker essaying the role of a notorious smuggler Aamir Ali. Mohanlal, who last appeared with Prithviraj in Empuraan, would be seen as his grandfather - Mambarakkal Ahmed Ali. Vysakh film’s teaser has already promised some high-octane action is one the cards.
Mohanlal - Thudakkam
Mohanlal will also make an appearance in his daughter Vismaya’s debut movie Thudakkam. Mohanlal himself had announced his daughter’s film debut. Director Jude Anthany Joseph, best known for 2018 and Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, helms the movie. Bobby Kurian and Aashish Joe Antony, son of Thudakkam producer Antony Perumbavoor, are also part of the cast.
Tovino Thomas - Balan
Tovino Thomas, who impressed viewers with his fun cameo in blockbuster hit Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra in 2025, will be seen in another cameo in Balan, helmed by Chidambaram of Manjummel Boys fame. The film Balan had sparked much excitement during its announcement as it brings together Manjummel Boys filmmaker with the Aavesham director - both hits of 2024.
Prithviraj Sukumaran - Palli Chattambi
Prithviraj Sukumaran will be making not one but two star cameos in 2026. He will be seen in Tovino Thomas-led Palli Chattambi, which is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony. Notably, Prithviraj had previously collaborated with Dijo for the hard-hitting thriller film Jana Gana Mana. Popular actress Kayadu Lohar is also part of the film with a period setting.
Prithviraj Sukumaran - Tiki Taka
Prithviraj Sukumaran will also be seen in Asif Ali-starrer Tiki Taka. Asif Ali-VS Rohith movie appears to have an ultra-modern background. The latest poster from the film had the audiences sit up and take notice as it showed Asif Ali’s character with Wolverine-like claws and tattoos. Young star Naslen is also part of the film, which is much-awaited next year.
Nivin Pauly - Dear Students
Nivin Pauly, who is now winning much love for his latest movie Sarvam Maya, would be seen in an extended cameo in Dear Students, which is led by popular actress Nayanthara. The two actors had previously starred together in Love Action Drama, and fans are eager to see them share screen together again. A teaser of Dear Students released earlier also got a thumbs up from fans. George Philip Roy and Sandeep Kumar helm the upcoming movie, which will have several newcomers as well.
