Mufasa: The Lion King trailer - Get ready to embark on a journey of the beloved King - Mufasa!

Disney announced Mufasa: The Lion King in 2022 making us all excited about the film. After a long wait, the trailer of the prequel of the much-loved 2019 musical film The Lion King is finally out today. The film will present the story of not Simmba but young Mufasa and his sibling-turned-villain Scar.

The trailer of the film begins with a voiceover that says: The voiceover echoes, “This story begins far beyond the mountains and the shadows, on the other side of the light. A lion was born without a drop of nobility in his blood. A lion who would change our lives forever - Mufasa!” The video takes us to the depth of the jungle, the never-seen side with the beautiful waterfalls, lakes, and forests.

Going by the trailer, it seems that the major part of the film will revolve around the story of how Mufasa and Scar's relationship turned sour. For all Disney fans, this film is going to be a treat as they get to embark on the journey alongside the King - Mufasa. Apart from his relationship with Scar, the film will also explore the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands.

As soon as the trailer was released, fans took to the comments section to express their excitement. One fan wrote, "This looks quite impressive and promising than its predecessor...", while another one wrote, "Pure goosebumps". One user wrote, "The wait is over MUFASA is back in December 20"

Mufasa: The Lion King Cast

The cast of the film includes John Kani as Rafiki, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, and Donald Glover as Simba. The movie is directed by Barry Jenkins and Lin-Manuel Miranda has written the songs. 

Mufasa: The Lion King release date in India

Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King releases in India on 20th December 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
