Bollywood has never shied away from experimenting. There have been many genres which the film makers have had touched upon till today. At the same time, there are many genres (both conventional as well as offbeat) that today’s filmmakers are busy making films on. The fact also remains that there are many untapped genres on which many filmmakers do not dare to touch upon.

One such genre was that of horror that involved zombies. Even though films having zombies had been a hit in Hollywood, there have not been many films that had zombies as the central theme. One such film was ‘Go Goa Gone’. The film was directed by the filmmaker duo Raj and D.K. The film starred Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in the lead roles.

The film ‘Go Goa Gone’ got released on May 10, 2013. The film has, today, clocked 10 years since its release. One of the film’s highlights was its music, which was composed by the music duo Sachin-Jigar. The film boasted of many hit tracks including ‘Babaji Ki Booti’, ‘Slowly Slowly’, ‘Khushamdeed’ and ‘I Keel Ded Peepul’.

Reminiscing the music of the film ten years later today, Sachin- Jigar jointly said, “We created ‘Go Goa Gone’s music with an intention to make it relatable to the youth. All songs of the film turned out to be hit party numbers and have very well withstood the test of time. Ten years later, seeing the same love for the film’s music makes our heart full. We would like to thank the audience for making this album such a big hit and giving it so much love and adoration.”

The film ‘Go Goa Gone’ was produced by Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla. The film’s cinematography was done by Dan Macarthur and Lukasz Pruchnik.
