My Name Is Shruthi - Here’s when you can stream Hansika Motwani’s revenge thriller on Aha

Hansika Motwani’s 2023 revenge thriller, My Name Is Shruthi, will be available for streaming on Aha, starting from February 28. The film, which had earlier dropped on Amazon Prime Video, will now be available on the Telugu exclusive OTT platform Aha. Directed by Srinivas Omkar, the revenge thriller also stars Prema, Murali Sharma, Pooja Ramachandran, Raja Ravindra, Praveen, and Aadukalam Naren in supporting roles.  

What is My Name Is Shruthi all about?

Directed by Srinivas Omkar, this Telugu revenge thriller headlined by Hansika Motwani revolves around the organ mafia. This crime thriller delves into the gruesome details of organ harvesting, and presents a narrative that is both thought-provoking and intense. Shruthi (played by Hansika) fights against the dreaded medical mafia in this crime thriller. Although the film was hailed for shedding light on the underexplored concept, the film was criticised for its bland performances and writing.

Speaking about the film, actress Hansika in an earlier interview revealed that she had enquired about the dreadful mafia to her mother who is a dermatologist. “My mother is a dermatologist, and I asked her about the skin mafia and if it really exists. She told me she had read about it but the common man has been kept in the dark about it. This gave me even more excitement to do the film,” Hansika revealed.

Hansika had also said this is the 'first time' a film with this backdrop has been made in the south. 

My Name Is Shruthi also marks Hansika Motwani’s comeback to Telugu cinema who was last seen in Sundeep Kishan’s 2019 film Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL.

Cast and crew behind My Name Is Shruthi

While Hansika plays the titular character, the film also stars Sai Tej, Prema, Murali Sharma, Pooja Ramachandran, Raja Ravindra, Praveen, Aadukalam Naren, Jayaprakash and CVL Narasimha Rao who are playing supporting roles. The cinematography for the film was handled by Kishore Boyidapu, while editing was handled by Chota K Prasad with music scored by Mark K Robin. The film is bankrolled by Burugu Ramya Prabhakar under Vaishnavi Arts.
