Fans of Vijay are eagerly awaiting an official update on the theatrical release of Beast, though it is being said that the film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar will hit the screens on April 13 or 14. The audio launch of the action movie is expected to happen on March 20.
The makers have released only one single from the film so far. Arabic Kuthu, composed by Anirudh which released recently, went on to become a rage among the star's fans and other movie buffs. It surpassed 100M views on YouTube in record time.
Now, a video clip of director Mysskin lauding Vijay's dedication has been going viral on social media. The one-minute video has the filmmaker recollecting an incident when the star used to indulge in fight sequences and dance scenes despite suffering from back pain.
He said, "One day, Vijay asked me why I keep ignoring him. I told him that I will come up with a good story once and then we can talk a lot. I'm not surprised with the heights Vijay has achieved today. I have seen his sincerity in performing fight scenes even when he was unwell. It is the dedication which made him what he is today."
He also revealed that he had Vijay in his mind while writing the script for his debut movie Chithiram Pesuthadi. He said, "Vijay had attended the film's preview show. He watched the movie, liked it and asked me if I could come up with a similar project for him. I told him that I had him in mind from the initial stage of scripting."
Mysskin, who last directed Udhayanidhi-starrer Psycho (streaming on Netflix), is ready with his next, Pisasu 2, which stars Andrea Jeremiah and Vijay Sethupathi playing pivotal characters in it.
