Nadikar, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead along with Bhavana, has finally announced its digital debut more than a year after its theatrical release. The Malayalam film, helmed by Lal Jr, will be available for streaming on SainaPlay soon. From plot to cast, here’s everything you need to know about the Tovino Thomas-starrer Nadikar before its OTT release.
Tovino Thomas’ Nadikar on OTT
Nadikar is a 2024 Malayalam film, which starred Tovino Thomas along with Bhavana, released in theatres on May 3. The film was expected to hit the OTT space within a month of its theatrical release, with reports claiming that it was headed to Netflix. However, that did not happen and uncertainty prevailed over Nadikar’s OTT release.

Now, Saina Play has announced on their Instagram page that Nadikar will be coming soon on their platform. But the platform has not confirmed the release date yet. The Malayalam film will likely be available only in the Malayalam language.
Nadikar cast and plot
Lal Jr, who is known for popular films such as Asif Ali’s HoneyBee, has helmed Nadikar which features Tovino Thomas as actor David Padikkal. Though a superstar, David’s talent comes into question and he is left battling his ego and insecurities before he finally agrees to hire an acting coach. Malayalam actress Bhavana appears as his ex-girlfriend Ann Bava, another film star.
Soubin Shahir, Balu Varghese, Divya Pillai, and Suresh Krishna play other key roles in the film, which was backed by Mythri Movie Makers of Pushpa fame, along with Godspeed Cinema.
The film, however, failed to meet expectations when it was released in theatres in May 2024.

Tovino Thomas’ latest film Narivetta
Tovino Thomas last starred in Narivetta, a gripping film which revolves around tribal protests in Wayanad. He plays a cop, Varghese, in the film, which also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran. It was recently announced that Narivetta will start streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium from July 11, 2025.
