A still from the film
We had reported recently that Bharath-starrer Naduvan, directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Sharang, will have a premiere on SonyLIV on September 24. Aparna Vinod plays the female lead in the movie which has Gokul, Aruvi Bala, George Maryan and Yog Japee among others essaying pivotal roles.
Produced by Lucky Chhajer under the banner of Cue Entertainment, the project, billed as a thriller, has music and cinematography by Dharan and Yuva respectively. Vicky Nandagopal has choreographed the stunt sequences for the movie which has editing by Sunny Sawrav. The team has now released a two-minute trailer which offers a glimpse into its story.
It begins with Bharath's voiceover which says, 'In this world, we find more dishonest people than the honest and trustworthy ones'. The actor plays a businessman in the movie who goes on take extreme steps when his family life, involving a wife and daughter, is disrupted. Aparna essays the role of a teacher in the film which is set against the backdrop of a hill station. The shooting of the movie was wrapped up long ago and the makers had initially planned to release the film in theatres in 2019. It was only a couple of weeks ago that they announced the project's premiere on SonyLIV.
The first look of Naduvan was released more than two years ago, and a sneak peek video was released by the makers last year during the lockdown. The video provided a glimpse into the grey shade which is likely to be attached with Bharath's character as he was shown getting prepared to commit a crime in his home. Bharath was last seen in Prabhudeva's Salman Khan-starrer Radhe, while Aparna Vinod's previous outing was Vijay-starrer Bairavaa. The former's last theatrical release was the mystery thriller Kaalidas. He now has a few projects in his kitty, including the recently wrapped up film with Sakthivel.
