After some forgettable outings, Akkineni Nagarjuna was saved by the success of Naa Saami Ranga with choreographer-turned-director Vijay Binni. Now, it is being reported that the hit combo is all set to join forces once again for a complete entertainer. The Naa Saami Ranga combo has signed to do yet another project together, according to a few Telugu reports. It is believed that Vijay Binni is working on a script for which the shooting will begin later this year. Srinivasaa Chitturi will bankroll this project and we have received a few insider details about the upcoming project.  

Nagarajuna’s next to be a Korean film’s adaptation?

After the success of Naa Saami Ranga, Nagarjuna has given the nod to work with Vijay Binni once again on this untitled project. Nagarjuna has recommended a Korean adaptation to Vijay Binni, and the young filmmaker is currently working on the script, according to certain reports. Although it is not known which Korean film the makers are eyeing to remake, two other ideas are also being developed, and one of the scripts will be completed by June. The shoot begins in July, and the film will be released during Sankranthi 2025. More details about the film will be unveiled soon!

For the unversed, Naa Saami Ranga was directed by cinematographer Vijay Binni in his directorial debut. The film also starred Allari Naresh, Ashika Ranganath, Mirnaa Menon, Raj Tarun and Rukshar Dhillon in pivotal roles. The film was the official remake of the Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose. Naa Saami Ranga received mixed to positive responses upon its release and was a commercial success at the box office. The film is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Nagarjuna’s upcoming film lineup

Meanwhile, the Telugu superstar has several exciting projects lined up for the coming months. Nagarjuna had previously been roped in to play a pivotal role in Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming gangster drama Kubera. Reportedly the actor is set to play a mafia don in the film. Apart from Kubera, Nagarjuna is also rumoured to be part of Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film Coolie.
