Thalaivar 171 buzz - Nagarjuna to star in Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film? Key details inside

Thalaivar 171 is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious projects that fans have been waiting to watch on the big screen! Although the makers of the film have not dropped any major updates, several speculations about the cast of the film have been doing the rounds. The latest reports suggest that Telugu superstar Nagarjuna has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the Rajinikanth-starrer. Although there has not been any official announcement to back this rumour, some of the popular Telugu reports claim that the actor is indeed a part of the upcoming Lokesh Kanagaraj project and that an official update will be made soon! 

Earlier, reports suggested that Lokesh’s Inimel co-star Shruti Haasan is also part of the project. Reportedly, the actress might be essaying the role of Rajinikanth's daughter in the upcoming film. Veteran actress Shobana is also said to be in talks to do a key role. 

Thalaivar 171 - SRK to make a cameo?

Reports also claim that Lokesh has roped in Ranveer Singh, who is said to be playing a significant character in the film. Although the news is yet to be confirmed, sources close to the team have claimed that the actor is playing a key role in the upcoming Rajinikanth-starrer. Not only Ranveer, but Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is also rumoured to be making a cameo appearance in the film.

Thalaivar 171 title buzz

Although the makers are yet to reveal the most-anticipated title of Thalaivar 171, many popular Reddit pages suggest that the film’s title has already been leaked. While some pages state that the title of the film is Raa Naa, other rumours suggest that the film has been titled Thangam. However, an official update is awaited. Notably, there were also speculations that the film would be titled Kazhugu.  

Thalaivar 171’s first-look poster of Rajinikanth was well-received by fans and cinephiles. The poster featured Thalaivar in a monochromatic picture, where he is seen in a denim shirt and black shades with a villainous look. His hands are cuffed with several golden watches. The title of the film will be revealed on April 22.
