Nani: HIT 3 will work as a stand-alone film even if you’ve not watched HIT 1 and 2
Although Nani’s character Arjun Sarkaar is introduced at the end of HIT 2, the actor-producer says it is not a must watch before the third instalment on May 1, 2025

Telugu star Nani (of Eega , Jersey , Hi Nanna, etc., fame) is all set for his next release, the third instalment in the popular HIT franchise, produced by the actor’s banner Wall Poster Cinema, which releases in theatres on May 1, 2025. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who helmed both the earlier HIT films too, HIT 3 has Nani playing a cop for the first time in his career. The film pairs Nani with KGF-fame Srinidhi Shetty, for whom HIT 3 will be her first release in three years and first in Telugu, since 2022’s Cobra , which was her Tamil cinema debut.
Nani: Audiences will understand HIT 3 without HIT 1 and 2
Nani and Srinidhi have been doing a round of promotions in Hyderabad, in a special set, where they’ve invited prominent YouTube influencers, among others, to conduct interviews, before they head out on a publicity tour. One such was with the music label Saregama Kannada, during which Nani spoke about his close connect with Eega co-star Sudeep and Century Star Shivarajkumar. The actor also added that he doesn’t want new audiences to be intimidated by the fact that the franchise is already on its third film.
HIT 3, according to Nani, works as a stand-alone film too, even if one has not watched the earlier two parts. “If you have not watched HIT 1 and 2, HIT 3 will work as a stand-alone film; you may only miss certain minor connections and characters that were established earlier. If you do watch both films and then come to HIT 3, it may be a little more exciting, but do not fear that you will not understand our film without watching the earlier instalments,” he said.
Srinidhi chimed in that she has told her friends and family the same too, but did recommend a viewing of the last few minutes of HIT 2, where Nani’s character Arjun Sarkaar is introduced. “Watching HIT 3 will definitely not be less of an experience without HIT 1 and 2,” added Nani, who is rumoured to be playing both the protagonist and antagonist in the film.
