Nani reunites with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv for a breezy new romantic drama

Nani is in the form of his life with back-to-back hits in his career. He is now busy with his new film, The Paradise, which is being directed by Dasara fame Srikanth Odela. After this film, Nani will work with Saaho and OG fame Sujeeth. Now, we at OTTplay have come to know that Nani has also okayed Shouryuv's next.

Nani locks a new romantic comedy

Shouryuv is the same director who made his debut with Nani's Hi Nanna, which ended up being a big hit at the box office. One of the sources close to Nani revealed to us that Shouryuv met him a few days ago and narrated a romantic comedy, which the HIT 3 star loved and gave his nod to. The source adds that Nani has asked Shouryuv for a complete narration, which will happen in the coming weeks.

The buzz is that this project will likely go on floors in the second half of 2026, once Nani wraps up Sujeeth's film. According to sources from Nani’s camp, the main reason he okayed this film is that he has been doing back-to-back action films and doesn’t want to stick to a single image. That is why he agreed to work with Shouryuv, who came up with a breezy romantic drama.

Nani was under pressure when he okayed Hi Nanna, as Shouryuv was new and the subject seemed quite routine. But the way Shouryuv narrated the story and presented it as a complete package won many hearts, and Hi Nanna went on to win several awards.

Nani's new film with Shouryuv to go on floors in 2026

Now that the duo has joined hands once again, it remains to be seen what kind of film they will make. Shouryuv, a doctor by profession, takes his time with filmmaking and has spent considerable time developing his second film. By the time it releases, it will likely be 2027. However, Nani is confident that the film will get proper promotions and be made in a very stylish manner.

As of now, Nani is awaiting the shoot of The Paradise to begin, as the film is currently stuck due to some financial issues. But Nani is not worried as he is getting a much-deserved rest after going back to back films.
