Nawazuddin Siddiqui today no longer needs an introduction. The National School of Drama alumnus has tasted international fame as well with the British crime drama McMafia. From unnamed roles in Sarfarosh, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, and Ek Chalis Ki Last Local to Emmy nominated Sacred Games, the journey has been long but rewarding.
Now, with more than 8 film screenings at Cannes Film Festival in his pocket, the actor today stands candid and passionate about his trade . In a recent interview, when asked by Samdish about ‘sabse ghatiya’ or ‘the worst’ actor he has worked with, Nawazuddin Siddiqui clarified his views before giving examples.
Nawazuddin explained in Hindi on Unfiltered by Samdish that before judging or considering someone’s performance bad, he must do his job right. Only then would he be able to take the names of others and call out their performances.
He then cited an example of working with a non-actor. Since they have an unconventional way of delivering dialogues onscreen, their performances grab more attention. Despite him feeling he had done a good job, Nawazuddin is forced to admit that even he thinks their way of doing the job appears better.
And then the Badlapur actor opened up about his inhibitions of working with certain kinds of co-actors. One, justifiably, is non-actors. Two, for some reason ranges from dogs and cats to buffaloes and cows, basically any kind of animal. And third, being children.

Siddiqui explained his other two quirky choices, because no matter how well you act or perform in a scene with kids and animals, viewers will only notice their cuteness. His advice in such cases? To not act in the scenes in front of these people.
“In logon ke samne acting mat karo, flat bolke apna bhaglo, jaan bachalo,” chuckled the actor (Do not try acting in front of these people, just deliver your lines flatly and run away if you wish to save your life).
