Currently seen in Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the lead role in bringing about the OTT wave to India. His role as Gaitonde in Sacred Games remains at the peak, and it proved to be the starting point for the ultimate OTT wave in the country. When asked about content evolving along with OTT, Nawazuddin told Firstpost that he is unable to catch up with the latest OTT trend unless it goes viral. The actor stresses on the importance of small films also being noticed at the Box Office, and how OTT wave changed that.

"If I do a big ticket entertainer seen by 100 people, at least five of them could show up to watch my smaller films; but I can’t see them anymore either. It is becoming really difficult to release the kind of cinema that we liked," the actor shared while also confessing that he has done many films for a small amount.

While Nawazuddin returns as Inspector Jatil Yadav, the film also stars Chitrangada Singh as Meera, Radhika Apte as Radha, Deepti Naval as the matriarch and Revathy as the forensic specialist, Dr. Panicker.
