While Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 saw Sarkata's identity transfer, that might not happen with Thama sequel, for the lead antagonist Nawazuddin Siddiqui is likely to be in the movie.

As YRF Spy Universe's latest offering War 2 leaves fans disappointed, the next stop in the madness of film universes is Maddock Supernatural Universe. Thama, which is a completely new concept in the universe, is back in news. This time around, the buzz is around the antagonist of the film Nawazuddin Siddiqui. We hear that the movie's sequel is already planned, and his character graph is likely to extend into that, too.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the lead antagonist of Thama, is likely to be a part of the sequel as well. This is unlike Stree 2, where Sarkata's identity has likely been transferred to Akshay Kumar's mysterious character. Confirming the same, a source told Mid-Day, "While Sarkata, the antagonist in Stree 2, is shown destroyed in the end, Nawaz's vampire will not be killed in Thama. His character is shown as one who cannot be vanquished." For the uninitiated, Nawazuddin also plays the role of a vampire, who can be killed by a stake through the heart, beheading, or exposure to sunlight.
The source also mentions how the ending of Thama hints at the sequel by adding how director Aditya Sarpotdar and producer Dinesh Vijan have designed Thama to be extended into a sequel. "Aditya as well as producer Dinesh Vijan were certain that they wanted the character to take the story forward in the second instalment. They have designed the end in such a way that it hints at a sequel," the little birdie shares.
The source further clarifies that like Stree trio Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi, Thama will also take the characters of Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Paresh Rawal forward. While Stree universe is about friends, Thama is about lovers and thus, it is a romantic-comedy rather than a horror-comedy. Paresh Rawal's character in Thama, like Pankaj Tripathi's in Stree, is an expert on the subject. Thama is set in the world of vampires. Naturally, Ayushmann, who finds his entry into the universe with Thama, plays the protagonist who is a vampire. It is the first time that both Ayushmann and Nawazuddin play vampires for the big screen.

Ayushmann Khurrana's Thama is connected to Varun Dhawan's Bhediya. Their worlds will also meet in the Aditya Sarpotdar directorial, the hint of which was in Stree 2's ending.
Thama is scheduled for Diwali 2025 release in theatres.
Q: Is Thama connected to Stree?
A: Yes, Thama is connected to the Stree universe, created by Maddock Films, which also includes the films Stree and Bhediya. Ayushmann Khurrana will star as a vampire in Thama, which is part of this horror-comedy franchise.
Q: How is Munjya linked to Stree?
A: The universe-building began with Bhediya, in which characters from Stree appeared. This was followed by Munjya, where characters from Bhediya and Stree appeared. The continuity with Bhediya's characters continued in Sree 2, making Sree and Bhediya the central link connecting the three films.
Q: When can I watch Thama?
A: Thama will hit theaters in Diwali 2025.
