Lady Superstar 75: Nayanthara joins hands with Zee Studios, debutant Nilesh Krishnaa to helm the film

Zee Studios, which was associated with a few Tamil films recently, had revealed yesterday that they would come up with an announcement today. They are all set to team up with Nayanthara for a movie which will have debutant Nilesh Krishnaa at its helm.

The untitled project is the actress' 75th film in her career spanning almost two decades. Nilesh was an assistant director to maverick filmmaker Shankar and has worked in movies like 2.0. The movie has Naad Studios and R Ravindran of Trident Arts, too, collaborating with Zee Studios.

Sathyaraj and Jai have been roped in to play crucial characters in the film; the duo had shared screen space with Nayanthara in the runaway hit Raja Rani which was released in 2013. The senior actor will be seen in the actress' upcoming project Connect as well.

Dinesh Krishnan and Praveen Antony have come on board to crank the camera and handle editing respectively, while Jacki is in charge of art direction. Suren and Alagiyakoothan are monitoring the sound designing department. The makers have kept other details pertaining to the project, including its music director, under wraps.    

The sudden announcement came as a huge surprise for fans of Nayanthara. Her last outing was O2 which had a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar a month ago. Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal was her last theatrical release. He is bankrolling her forthcoming project Connect as well. Jayam Ravi's action movie Iraivan under Ahmed's direction is another film which she will be joining soon.

Nayan currently has a film each in Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu - Gold, Jawan and Godfather - opposite Prithviraj, Shah Rukh Khan and Chiranjeevi respectively. Fans hope that more details on Lady Superstar 75 (tentative title) will be revealed soon.
