Nayanthara, Samantha, Vijay Sethupathi's Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal to release in April

Kollywood has been witnessing regular announcements of updates regarding the release date of Tamil movies in the last few days. Vignesh Shivan has now come up with a much-awaited update on his upcoming movie Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The director has informed that the film will hit the screens in April.

He also added that its teaser will be out on February 11. His tweet read, "Reporting at 2.22 on 2.2.2022. Teaser from 11.2.2022. April release only only in theatres :) #KaathuVaakulaRenduKaadhal #teaser from 11.2.22 (sic)." Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio has produced the movie which has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander  

The young composer has released three singles - Rendu Kaadhal, Two Two Two and Naan Pizhai - from the project so far. Nayanthara, Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi play Kanmani, Khatija and Rambo respectively in the film, which is billed as a triangular love story.

Prabhu, Kala Master and Redin Kingsley essay pivotal characters in the movie which has cinematography by SR Kathir and Vijay Kartik Kannan. Sreekar Prasad has edited the film which has art direction and stunt choreography by Shwetha Sebastian and Dhilip Subbarayan respectively. Vignesh's Rowdy Pictures is co-producing the project along with Lalit.

It was heard a few months ago that the makers were eyeing a theatrical release in December. Later, there were reports of the movie hitting the screens on February. Now, all eyes are on its release date in April. Vijay's Beast and Lawrence's Rudhran are also expected to hit the screens in April.

The first look of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal was unveiled three months ago, and the character posters of the three lead actors were also revealed then. This is the first time Samantha is teaming up with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi for a film.
