Fans of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan were shell-shocked when they announced earlier this month that they have become parents to twin babies. It was the latter who broke the news from his social media page and expressed excitement over the new phase in life.

The parents had named the twin baby boys Uyir and Ulagam and shared pictures of their toes on social media. Fans and movie lovers went gaga over the adorable pics and congratulated the couple who got married earlier this year at Mahabalipuram in a grand event.

However, surrogacy controversy did the rounds on social media platforms, and this left many confused. But the couple came out with the clarification that their marriage was officially registered six years ago, which evaded room for further controversy on the issue.

Now, the duo has made their first appearance after they turned parents. Vignesh took to his Instagram page to post a short video which features him along with Nayanthara. The icing on the cake is them carrying their babies and extending Diwali wishes to everyone in an adorable manner. Needless to say, fans have been showering love and wishes to the couple in the comment section.

On the work front, Nayanthara, who was last seen in the recent Tollywood outing Godfather along with Chiranjeevi, will next be seen in Malayalam movie Gold, which has her paired opposite Prithviraj. She has Connect and Iraivan coming up in Tamil, while the biggest of all, Jawan, opposite Shah Rukh Khan, will release next year.

Vignesh Shivan, who directed Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal this year, will move on to Ajith's AK 62 (tentatively titled) after the latter wraps up Thunivu.
