Latest update from Nayanthara's Mannangatti Since 1960 is here! Pic inside

We had earlier reported that actor Nayanthara will be headlining a film titled Mannangatti Since 1960. The makers recently dropped an update about the film on social media. The update is that the shooting for the film has been wrapped up. The film is directed by YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Dude Vicky.

Nayanthara's Mannangatti Since 1960 wrapped up

Mannangatti Since 1960 is directed by YouTuber Dude Vicky and features Nayanthara and Yogi Babu in the lead roles. It is to be noted that earlier the duo had shared the screen space in Nelson Dilipkumar's hit black comedy Kolamavu Kokila. Besides Yogi Babu and Nayanthara, the upcoming film also stars Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan, Narendra Prasath, and others.

The shooting for the film has been wrapped up, the makers announced and photos from the wrap-up party were released on social media. The team is seen cutting a giant cake to celebrate the occasion. Mannangatti Since 1960 is backed by A Venkatesh and S Lakshman Kumar under the production banner of Prince Pictures. The technical crew consists of Sean Roldan scoring the music and cinematographer RD Rajasekhar cranking the camera. G Madan serves as the editor.

While much about the film has not yet been revealed, it is touted to be a period comedy drama. A release date for Mannangatti Since 1960 has not yet been announced.

Nayanthara’s body of work

Nayanthara, who is undoubtedly one of the top-tier actors in the South Indian film industry, was last seen in the family drama Annapoorani, in which she played an aspiring chef from an orthodox household. The actor, who also appeared in the hit Hindi film Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, also has The Test, co-starring Madhavan, Siddharth and Meera Jasmine. She is also part of the upcoming sequel, Thani Oruvan 2, in which she will reprise her role as Mahima. She will be appearing alongside Nivin Pauly in Dear Students, an upcoming Malayalam film.
