NBK108: Arjun Rampal comes on board for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next with director Anil Ravipudi

Nandamuri Balakrishna is at the peak of his career in terms of his stardom, while staying in tune with the tastes of gen-Z, making his OTT debut with aha’s Unstoppable and scoring consecutive hits through Veera Simha Reddy and Akhanda. He’s teaming up with F3, Supreme director Anil Ravipudi for his next, tentatively titled NBK108, backed by Ugram, Majili makers Shine Screens.

Kajal Aggarwal, Sarath Kumar and Sreeleela are on board for crucial roles in the action entertainer which was formally launched in December 2022. There’s another high-profile addition to the team - Hindi actor Arjun Rampal. Yes, you heard it right! The man, behind several grey roles in films like Don, Om Shanti Om, Ra One, has officially signed his second Telugu biggie after Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

‘Flute jinka mundara oodu..simham mundara kaadu,” Arjun Rampal says in a special video introducing him to Telugu viewers. The actor shared his happiness on teaming up with Balakrishna and director Anil Ravipudi for the entertainer and is excited to deliver several heavy-duty dialogues for the same. The actor and the director shared the video from the sets of NBK108.

The team of NBK108 unveiled the film’s first-look poster featuring two contrasting looks of Balakrishna for this Ugadi. S Thaman is collaborating with Balakrishna for the third time after Veera Simha Reddy and Akhanda. Another crew member from team Akhanda, C Ram Prasad cranks the camera. Editor Tammi Raju, production designer Rajeevan, choreographer V Venkat are also part of the crew

NBK108 is set for a release this Vijayadasami (Dussehra) and is expected to lock horns with the Boyapati Srinu-Ram Pothineni’s pan-Indian film at the theatres. Interestingly, Sreeleela is also part of the latter’s team. Meanwhile, Balakrishna is yet to confirm his next project. Anil Ravipudi last directed F3, starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada.
