Recently, she got candid about the challenges of career, friendships, and showbiz rivalry. Interestingly, before marking her Bollywood debut, Neha Dhupia went to Japan for a special project. Neha Dhupia’s impressive filmography also features a Japanese film. Many people are not aware that she did an Indo-Japanese film titled Ninja Odoru! Ninja Densetsu in 2000, where she played the character of Meena. The special project happened nearly two years prior to her Miss India pageant win. In an interview, Neha shared her experience of working in a foreign country and how traveling to different countries in the younger 20s is great. Despite not remembering the name of the film, Neha reminisced about the unforgettable experience of meeting interesting people.
“I don't remember the title yet, but, I mean, it's been so long, but it was like an Indo-Japanese project, and the best part was getting to work with interesting people, but even more than that, is traveling to different countries in your 20s, and it's so great,” Neha told ETimes.

It comes as a surprise to many that Neha Dhupia started her acting journey with a play called Graffiti, followed by her appearance in the Euphoria music album. Later, she was crowned Miss India 2002. Neha marked her Bollywood debut with the 2003 film Qayamat: City Under Threat. However, her breakthrough performance came in the titular role of Julie.
In the same conversation, Neha Dhupia shared that she is looking forward to returning to Telugu cinema. Dhupia also got candid about her extended work break and credited motherhood and COVID for the same.
